Our Director, Yvette Ihorimbere, was nominated for the Tulipe des droits humains in 2024. The award went to Katihabwa Constance.

The Tulipe des droits humains is an annual award from the Dutch government supporting human rights defenders. At the ceremony, our Director spoke about the initiatives Ingiro Action Center carries for the defence and promotion of women’s rights in Burundi.

Ingiro Action Center joined the Tulipe des droits humains gathering at the Netherlands ambassador's residence in Burundi.

Katihabwa Constance received the award. Yvette’s nomination was for her work as our Director, not an award to Ingiro Action Center.
