Learning and exchange at FIBO
From 8 to 13 June 2026, our Director, Yvette Ihorimbere, represented Ingiro Action Center at the fifth Festival International Bangwe de l’Oralité (FIBO) in Moroni, Comoros. She also took part as a member of Arterial Network for Burundi. FIBO brought artists, creators, experts and cultural professionals together around Comorian art and culture.
A varied cultural programme
The festival included a musical showcase, an exhibition by artist Ceda at Gerezani, whose works were presented on recycled paper, and the Nuit de l’Oralité, with slam, storytelling and traditional dance. Workshops addressed contemporary art criticism, cultural and creative industries, digital discoverability of cultural works, branding and women’s leadership in culture. Luc Mayitoukou and journalist and cultural entrepreneur Elisabeth Apampa led the trainings.
Our Director joined cultural professionals from different countries to share experiences and discuss common challenges. She also took part in exchanges with members of Arterial Network, a pan-African network of cultural actors.
