8 March 2026

For International Women’s Day, we launched UBUTUMWA, a series sharing the views and messages of women accompanied by Ingiro Action Center.

Throughout March, we planned to share women’s perspectives and messages on their rights, in the words of women accompanied by Ingiro Action Center.

A second UBUTUMWA portrait card shares another woman's message.

The series invites people to reflect, listen and act to promote and protect women’s rights. Its third-day message calls on people to listen, learn and work together. Messages ran in both French and Kirundi throughout the month.
