Our Director, Yvette Ihorimbere, represented Ingiro in a meeting with Minister Lydia Nsekera and cultural-sector actors about collaboration, copyright and opportunities for young entrepreneurs.

A sector-wide discussion

The meeting brought together people working to develop the cultural and creative industries in Burundi. Our Director took part as Ingiro’s representative and as a member of Arterial Network for Burundi.

The meeting focused on stronger collaboration between public institutions and cultural-sector participants.

The discussion covered cooperation between public institutions and cultural actors, needs across the sector, copyright and opportunities for young cultural entrepreneurs. Luc Mayitoukou, a consultant and expert in cultural and creative industries, also attended. He was in Burundi to lead cultural-administration training for about a dozen young entrepreneurs from different provinces.
