Renilde Ndorukwigira of Runtown Ladies said that women can advance by connecting with one another. She also said financial independence can strengthen a household.
Our Director General, Yvette Ihorimbere, described the Centre’s work with women’s groups, including training in management, financial education and health, support for children’s education, and exchanges among women. She also spoke about the role of media in bringing women’s voices forward.
Our Umukenyezi Iwacu programme airs on eight community radio stations six days a week. Women reporters trained in the field share women’s lives, initiatives, challenges and experiences. Oda, Prisca and Clarisse also spoke about efforts to make their activities legal and sustainable.
